Employee Assistance Programs

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

Everyone has problems in their lives from time to time. An EAP is designed to help employees deal with those problems outside of the workplace, so that they can better function at work and in their lives.

Scope of Services

  • Program Design
  • Printed Material
  • Supervisor Training
  • Employee Orientation
  • 24/7 Hotline/Referral Service
  • Confidential Counseling
  • Follow-Up to Resolution
  • Critical Incident Response
  • Utilization Review

For DOT-regulated Employers:

  • DOT/SAP Evaluations
  • Supervisor Trainings
  • Employee Orientations

Employee Assistance Programs are designed to provide timely assistance to employees and their immediate family members, before problems impact job performance. Non-work issues can be addressed quickly, confidentially and free of charge to the employee, through either short-term counseling or referral. This results in improved productivity and decreases financial and human loss to a company or organization.

EAP Program Cost

The cost of a EAP program is determined by the number of employees, number of initial counseling sessions allowed to each employee and family member, and the Scope of Services for that particular organization. However, an EAP is a net cost-saving program for the organization. Cost savings is realized through a reduction in costly employee turnover, increased productivity, minimized accidents on the job, an enhanced work environment, and improved employee job performance.

EAPs send the message to employees that management cares about, and are willing to make an investment in, their wellbeing.
